Santiago Lopez Mireles

Santiago Lopez Mireles, 87, left this world on Tuesday, March 06, 2018. Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. Inurnment will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Santiago was born on December 30, 1930, in Alpine, Texas to Alcadio and Refugia Lopez Mireles. He married Gregoria Munoz on April 17, 1950, in Alpine. He was a concrete finisher and construction worker. He helped build many of the buildings and foundations around San Angelo. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18 Santiago was preceded in death by his wife, parents and siblings; Manuel, Esiquio Mireles and Petra Garcia. He is survived by his son, Oscar Mireles and wife, Tula of San Angelo; grandchildren; Antonio, Sebastian, Larizza Mireles, God daughter Corina Gonzales and Antonio; God grandchildren; Mickayla, Jacob, Henry, Brandon; sister, Nieves Martinez and husband, Jose of Dallas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
