Gladys Faye Herman Spain Gladys Faye Herman Spain went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Gladys Faye was a woman of faith, whose love touched family, friends and many others through her church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 2, 2004 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Rev. Craig Meyers and Rev. Glenda Harbert of the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Faye was born December 23, 1925 in Lamesa, Texas to Max and Ola Patterson Herman. Faye was married to James T. Spain on June 6, 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband. Faye was an independent woman who worked as a bookkeeper and cashier at Levines, K-Wolens and Wal-Mart on N. Bryant. Her humor and sensitivity touched co-workers and customers for many years. Survivors are: Sons:James Thomas Spain Jr And wife, Verna Of Amarillo Freddy Spain And wife, Kathy Of Bryan, Daughter:Beverly Spain of San Angelo Brothers:Max Herman and wife, Zelda of Alto Bill Herman and wife, Evelyn of San Angelo John Herman and wife, Vickey of Coleman Sisters:Rebecca Schriever and husband, John of Eola Bobbie Lee Vest of San Angelo Phyllis Anne Turner and husband, Al of San Angelo Elizabethe Edington and husband, Cary of Abilene Granddaughters:Nicole Spain of Amarillo Chelsia Standiford of Bryan, Tai Spain of San Angelo Numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests that Memorials be made to the Children's Miracle Network and St. Paul Presbyterian Church.
