Sue was born February 3, 1923 in Murray, Kentucky to Hassell and Myrtle Oliver. While still a young child her family moved to Dearborn, Michigan. Sue met her husband Roy while attending Freed-Hardemon College in Tennessee. On November 20, 1941 they were married on the campus of Abilene Christian College, where Roy and Sue later graduated. They were happily married 68 years. Roy and Sue enjoyed an adventurous life together, the highlight being three years they lived in the Alaska Territory working with the Army during World War II. A favorite pastime the remainder of their lives was telling wild tales from their unique experiences in Alaska. Sue supported Roy faithfully throughout his remaining years of education and training in Washington D.C., Alabama, Galveston, Seymour, and Iowa City before settling in Springfield, Missouri. They moved to San Angelo in 2005 to live closer to family. Teaching was Sue'™s passion. She enjoyed teaching 35 years of Sunday school, public school, piano lessons and English as a Second Language to Korean and Japanese friends. She also loved to give cooking instruction and was very excited to learn how to ride horses at age 47 as she and Roy began breeding and showing Arabians. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Guy and Joe Oliver and infant daughter, Susan Joyce Wilson. She is survived by her devoted husband Dr. Roy E. Wilson, M.D. of San Angelo, daughter Judy Davis and husband Larry of Ogden, UT, son Edward Wilson and wife Carol of Sheridan, WY, and son Dan Wilson and wife Linda of San Angelo.
