Susana DeLa Garza

Susana "Chana" DeLa Garza, 93, of Mereta passed away Friday, November 02, 2012 at a local hospital. Rosary will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Holy Family Church in Mereta. Burial will follow in Mereta-Eola Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Chana was born on March 4, 1919 in Locoste, TX to Jose and Candelaria Saldana. Chana was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Manuel DeLa Garza and a daughter, Christina Garza. Susana is survived by her children; Amado and Sara DeLa Garza, Lucinda and Noe Martinez, Erminia Garcia, Ermelinda Norton all of Mereta and Cres and Denise DeLa Garza of Brazoria, TX and a sister, Sabina Chavez of San Angelo fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and one Grt-great-grandchild.
