Sybil W. Waller, 94, of San Angelo, passed away on November 18th, 2006 at a local nursing home. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday, November 20th at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 21st at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ballinger, TX with Father Wade Hubert officiating. Burial will follow at Olfen Cemetery. Sybil Waller was born in Vinson, OK to Jasper and Lura Willis on January 21st, 1912. She married Charles A. Waller on February 16th, 1957 in Fort Worth, TX. She was a homemaker most of her life. In her early years she was a seamstress, gardener, cook and canner, and a valuable asset as a farmer's wife. There was no job that she could not do and do it well. She was also a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Altar Society and CCD teacher. She moved to San Angelo in May 1998 where she became an avid domino, 42, 126, hand and foot player, and became an excellent jewelry maker. Sybil Waller is preceded in death by her 1st husband Bernard R. Willhite, daughter Lura Gay Willhite Samakow, 2nd husband Charles A. Waller and daughter Jane Waller Nelson. Sybil Waller is survived by her sons Jay T. Willhite and wife Gisela of Hesperia, CA; Charles A. D. Waller and wife Shirley of Ballinger, TX; Walter A. Waller and wife Betty of Houston, TX; daughters Norma Waller Halfmann and husband Mitchell of Christoval; Katharine Waller Bowles and husband Guy of San Angelo, TX; two son-in-laws Richard Nelson of Oakton, VA and Jack Samakow of Taylor Island, MD; her sister Pearl Willis Ashmore of Oklahoma City, OK; her sixteen Grandchildren, thirteen Great Grandchildren, and two Great-Great Grandchildren; numerous Nieces and Nephews, and her best friends Charles and Shirley Smith of Brady, TX, Laverne Goetz of Winters, TX and many more host of friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be given to Hospice of San Angelo.
