Thelma Lee Maberry

Thelma Lee Maberry, 86, of San Angelo, passed away on Sunday December 20, 2015 at a local care center. Visitation will be held 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. John Pope, officiating. Burial will take place in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. She was born on June 10, 1929 to Robert and Luella (Webster) Thomas in Cameron, TX. Thelma was a housewife. On October 13, 1956 she married John Maberry in San Angelo, TX. Pallbearers will be Eddie Pope Jr., Joshua Norton, Marcus Maberry, Darnell Maberry, Ben Bowman and Donald Bowman She was preceded in death by parents and her husband; brothers, Robert Lee Thomas, Willie Thomas, A. J. Thomas, Howard Thomas, Luther Thomas, Fred Thomas, H.R. Thomas, Manuel Thomas, sisters, Jessie Mae Gulliex and Morine Mitchell. Survivors include son, Eddie (Elaine) Pope of San Angelo, daughters, Delores Norton, Benita Maberry, Debra Smith all of San Angelo, sisters, Alma Bigalow of Cameron, Geneva Knight of Compton, CA, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
