Thomas Eugene Socko

Thomas Eugene Socko, 58, of San Angelo, TX left this earth all too soon on Wed, October 28, 2015. Tom was born on September 25, 1957 in Niagara Falls, NY to Leonard and Peg Socko. In the early 80's he moved to Odessa Texas to become a roughneck like his uncle R.T. Socko. He married Lynn Flippin on October 8, 1985 in Odessa, Texas. The couple had a son in 1988 and the family moved to San Angelo in 1991. Tom is survived by his wife, Lynn Socko and son, Jeremy Socko, and Step Grandson Matthew Porter, all of San Angelo, and his mother Peg Socko of Coal Township, PA, and four brothers of PA. He is preceded in death by his father Leonard Socko, one brother, and one sister. Tom was a man with a big heart, who loved animals and went through a morning ritual to make sure all mouths were fed and the sick were nursed. He was a fierce Pittsburg Steeler fan and loved to talk about his team to anyone that would listen. He was a devoted family man and loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed through every minute of every day. Services for Tom will be Saturday, November 7th at 10 a.m. at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.
