Tomas Rosas Lira

Tomas Lira Sr. 81 of San Angelo, left this Earth after a lengthy illness to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. His fight was long and hard. He is in a much better place and enjoying his new life. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Brady with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Tomas was born March 7, 1934 in Brady to Margarito Lira and Petra Rosas. Our father was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Manuel Lira, two sisters Juana Moreno and Tomasa Robles, and his second wife Eva Aguirre Lira. Survivors include daughters San Juana and Argelia Lira, son, Tomas Lira Jr., ex-wife Antonia Perez Lira, a special niece Ramona Rodriguez, a brother Guadalupe Lira and wife Mary Lou of Brady, several other nieces and nephews and extended family. Dad also had a couple of special "Mijas" Alysha Underwood and Cheree Martin, staff members from Senior Care of Meadow Creek. Dad considered these ladies very special and held a special place in his heart for them. We would like to thank the staffs of Meadow Creek and Hospice of San Angelo. We also want to thank our friends from Verizon and Red Wing Shoe Company that gave us so much support and love during this time.
