Troy Clayton Billington

Troy Clayton Billington, 81, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 in a local care center. Family visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 16, 2015 at 9th and Main Church of Christ with Josh Romo officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Troy was born July 2, 1933 in Trent, Texas to Louie Adrian and Laura Faye (Bass) Billington. He attended school in Childress, Texas, joined the United States Air Force, and served from July 7, 1954 until October 31, 1974. Troy then worked for the Department of the Air Forces Civil Services for twenty years before moving to San Angelo in 1995. Troy loved to help others. He delivered meals to the elderly and often stayed with the ill or elderly so family members could run errands. He was faithful member of the 9th and Main Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of six years, Janice Billington; brother, Royce Billington and his wife Alma; a niece, Donna Reed; and nephews, Andy Billington, Rick Billington, and Keith Billington.
