Troy Truman Stanford

Troy Truman Stanford, 98 of San Angelo, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in a local care center. Graveside service will be 2 PM Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gary Karschner officiating. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Troy was born on November 25, 1917 to William and Matilda (Jackson) Stanford in Erath County. On December 31, 1938 he married Laura Burden in Brownwood. Troy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife Laura "Allyene" Stanford in 2003. Troy is survived by: daughter Judy Ransbarger of Miles, son Terry Stanford and wife Jamie of Waco; grandsons Weldon Ransbarger and wife Amanda of Cypress and Russell Ransbarger and wife Candice of Fort Worth; granddaughters Lynzee Clark and husband Justin of Waco, Kassidi Johnson and husband Dusty of Waco; six great-grandchildren Troy, Brittany, and Madalyn Ransbarger, Callie and Josie Clark, and Noah Johnson; sisters Frances Whittington and Shirley Stanford; and numerous extended family. Pallbearers will be Weldon Ransbarger, Russell Ransbarger, Justin Clark, Dusty Johnson, Curtis Odell, and Kevin Niehues. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of The Springs Alzheimer's Special Care Center for their care during Troy's stay.
