Ulysses Thompson

Ulysses "Sonny" Lee Thompson Jr., of Grape Creek, Texas gained his heavenly wings on September 10, 2021.

A memorial will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at St. Paul Baptist Church at 2:00 PM.

Sonny was born in Colorado City, Texas to the late Ulysses Lee Thompson Sr. and the late Charlie Mae Lee Thompson on July 20, 1935. Sonny moved to Midland, Texas in the 50's and graduated from Carver High School in Midland, Texas. Sonny worked with the Hillard family and in the Hillard Oil and Gas Company and with Syntex Pharmaceutical where he retired in 1995.

Sonny was a member of the Berean Church until his death, he was an Elder and the Father of the church at the time of his death. Sonny was proceeded in death by his parents, Dickie Thompson, Clyde Thompson, Gladys Wallace, Bear Wallace, Shirley Watson, James Watson, Dawn Tramere and Ula Vernae.

Sonny met the love of his life in 1977 and later he married Suzan Arlene. Sonny leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Sue, his daughters, Decharyl Miller (Darryl), Dawn Singh, Antoninette Vigil and Sharrill Renee Thompson, sons Jerardo Silva Jr. and Bobby Salcedo, his siblings Quilla Beaty, John W. (Mildred), Ora Lee Roberts, Gloria Roberts (Norman). His uncle Ivy C. Johnson. His grand children, great-grand children, nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. A special shout out to "HIS APPLES OF HIS EYES and partners in crime" Elektra Silva and Ayzel Silva.
