Vicki Louise (Haines) Stephens, 75, left this world on Friday, September 13, 2024 and joined the host of Angels in Heaven. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Robert Massie Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Cross Road Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Vicki Louise (Haines) Stephens was born on September 22, 1948 in San Angelo, Texas and went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 13, 2024. Vicki passed away while visiting one of her daughters in Tyler, Texas. Vicki graduated from Lake View High School and attended Angelo State University . She was a member of the Chiefettes Pep Squad and treasurer of her senior class. While in High School Vicki met the love of her life (Sonny) Thurlo Haskell Stephens, Jr. they were married on August 19th, 1967 at the Baptist Temple Church in San Angelo, TX. In the early years of their marriage, Haskell helped run their family concrete business. They later moved to Fort Worth where he worked for General Dynamics and they had a good life supporting their three girls with many sporting and cheerleading events. Vicki coached and supported many of the teams that her daughters and nieces played on. She loved watching her kids, grandkids, and nieces play many sports and cheer. She was a huge sports fan. In 2005 they moved back to back to San Angelo at Haskells's mother's request to take over the family business, American British Antiques. After the passing of his mother in 2014, Vicki and Haskell had the opportunity to purchase the family business outright and Vicki continued to run it until her passing.
Vicki was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years , Thurlo Haskell Stephens, Mother and Daddy Katye Louise Haines and Hester W. Haines
Vicki is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Stephens-Lovelace and Rob Lovelace (Marine-former) of The Colony, Texas, Holly Adams of San Angelo, Texas, and Tamara Moyer and Tommy Smith of Tyler, Texas; granddaughters, Tara Adams of Burleson, Texas and Lauren Adams of Fort Worth, Texas, Checotah Lovelace-Wilson (Air Force - Retired) and her husband Nathaniel Wilson (Air Force - Active Duty) of Mountain Home, Idaho; grandson, Hunter Lovelace (Active Duty - Army) and his wife Ashley Lovelace of Madill, OK; great granddaughters, Dahlia Adams Brazeal, Layla Wilson, and Brook Lovelace; great grandsons, Jacob and Carson Lovelace; one sister, Donna Haines Haynie and her husband Bill; nieces, Connie Haynie-Smith and husband Brian of Fort Worth, Texas, Donna Haynie Donahue and husband Shaun Donahue of Fort Worth, TX; five grandnieces; one grandnephew; two great grandnieces; and three sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grandnephews on the Stephens side of the family and close family friend Annadee Thomas.
Vicki was a devoted follower of Christ, wife, sister, friend and mother to all.
Pallbearers: Holly Adams, Rob Lovelace, Tommy Smith, Shaun Donahue, Quentin Prior, Lance Prior, Cory Stephens, and Brandon Stephens.
