Viola Mae Van Zandt Foreman, 92, of San Angelo, passed away Monday, August 01, 2005 in a local hospital. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 4, 2005 at the Salvation Army Chapel, with Captain Kevin Taylor officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 4, at the Ballinger Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger. Viola was born November 6, 1912 in Colorado City to Christopher and Evie Van Zandt. Viola worked hard throughout her life and more so after her husband, Claud Foreman passed away, February 14, 1971. She raised four children. She taught her children to work hard and provide for their families as she had done for them, and to carry on no matter what obstacles came in life. Viola was taken care of by her grandson Troy, providing her with the warmth and security needed. She was preceded in death by her husband Claud Foreman and five brothers. Survivors are: Two sons:John Foreman of San Angelo Paul Foreman and wife, Colleen of Port Aransas, TX Two daughters: Lucy Stern and husband, John Of Livonia, MI Pauline Acuff and husband, Steve Of Bonaire, GA Five sisters:Ruby Wishert Of Gustine, TX Lula White Of Atascosa, TX Mary McCall Of Atascosa, TX Edith Kleiner and husband, Weldon Of Eastland, TX Christine Constable Of Mineral Wells, TX Nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests that Memorials be made to the Salvation Army, PO Box 589, San Angelo, 76902. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. The family will meet at the Salvation Army Church for a luncheon after the service.
