VIRGIL "WAYNE" WOOD

Virgil 'œWayne'� Wood Ozona- Wayne Wood, 52 has passed away and went to live with his Heavenly Father on March 6, 2010. Memorial Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 13, 2010 in Ozona at the Church of Christ with Mr. Johnnie Perkins, officiating. Arrangements are by Gregg Underwood and Robert Massie Funeral Home. Wayne was born on Feb. 3, 1958 in Henderson, Neb. He lived in Ozona for the majority of his life. Wayne lived a wonderful life and anyone who knew him knew that he had no regrets. He worked for Lilly Construction for eight years, before moving to U. P. C., then on to D. C. P. Field Services. He was preceded in death by his step father, Perry Burks and paternal and maternal grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Shelly Wood of San Angelo, TX., Two Step-daughters; Tosha Crouch of Winchester, KY., and Betty Stice of San Angelo, TX., One Step-son William Miller of San Angelo, TX., and Two Grandchildren; Annalisa Barrett and Thomas Crouch, both of Winchester, KY.; Mother, Ida 'œBelle'� Burks of Round Rock, TX., Three brothers; Guinn Burks and wife, Brenda of Crane, TX., Travis Burks and wife, Bridgett of Twenty Nine Palms, CA., and Scotty Burks and wife, Shelia of Round Rock, TX., Sister, Peggy Bullard of Brownwood, TX., His aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews and countless wonderful friends. A special thanks to Spencer Morris and family from Pipecreek, TX., Duane Williamson and family from Midland, TX., Robert Daniels and family of Ozona, TX., Bonnie Olge and family from Ozona, TX., A. B. and Billie Morris of Ozona, TX., Jack and Paulene Bently of Ozona, TX., and Cody and Melissa of Pipecreek, TX. The family would like to give a very special thanks to Vista Care Hospice and their crew. To all his doctors: Dr. Stanley, Dr. Hunt, Dr. Blanc, Dr. Demory, Dr. Sims and to all his nurses, Maryann, Christina and Steve, Without all of these people, we would have been lost without your guidance through all this.
