Virginia Lois Blakeney, 73, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday October 30, 2022.
Celebration of life services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 12, 2022 at The Cowboy Church of San Angelo. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blakeney was born on June 24, 1949 in Kerrville to James Tinney and Rena Jackson. Virginia attended Junction Independent Schools and later was a custodian there. She worked in home health and as a volunteer at Concho Valley Regional Food Bank. God brought Virginia and Joel together at The Cowboy Church on Chadbourne and they were married on November 13, 2021. Virginia is a prayer warrior and member of The Cowboy Church. Her favorite color was green. She loved God, family, dominos, cards, and even collected playing cards, at one time had over 500 decks. Virginia enjoyed holidays and always brought pies for holiday dinners. She loved taking care of others.
Preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Welch; and her brother, Noel Tinney.
Survivors include her husband, Joel Blakeney; a son, Donald Gene Whitlock, Jr. of Houston; four brothers, John Tinney of Brady, James Tinney of Junction, Glen Tinney of Ozona, Tommy Tinney of Ingram; two sisters, Phyllis Peden and Rena Sue both of Junction; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and outlaws.
