Virginia R. Flores, died peacefully at a local hospital on Monday, December 12, 2011 after living a wonderful life of 83 years. The Rosary ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Born in Tennyson, Texas, Virginia married Alex Flores in 1960 in San Angelo. She worked at Warren Drugstore as their fountain cook for over 25 years, and was known for her "great cooking and baking". Virginia and her sister, Beatrice, also started their own business, which later became Las Dos Hermanas restaurant. Las Dos Hermanas was a family owned business, and served great Mexican food to San Angeloans for over 12 years. Virginia will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, tia, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all her family, and lives on in our hearts and memories. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Alex "Choforo" Flores and her son Richard Villarreal. She is survived by six children; Nellie Sosa and husband, Joe; Anastacio (Tacho) Villarreal and wife Susie; Lydia Vega; Eva Arrolla and husband, Chico; John Villarreal and wife, Patricia; and Steve Flores and wife, Kristen; other survivors include two sisters; Beatrice Hinojos and husband, Rosendo and Alicia Reyes and husband Fred; one brother, Abundio Rodriguez, and daughter-in-law, Sarah Villarreal along with numerous grand-children and great grand-children. Pallbearers will be Joey Sosa, Michael Juarez, Jeremy Villarreal, Nolan Sosa, Justin Torres, Rick Delacruz, Michael Villarreal and Dori Arreosola. The family would like to thank the Fourth Floor Nursing Staff and Doctors at Shannon Hospital for all the loving care they showed Virginia.
