Virginia Sue Smith Thigpen McEver Virginia Sue Smith Thigpen Mc Ever, 80 of San Angelo, passed away Wednesday May 8, 2013 at a family's home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday May 11, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Dwain Morrison and Paul Wilkerson, of 19th Street Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Virginia was born in Ft. Stockton to Frank and Ethel (George) Smith on October 1, 1932. She was a faithful member of 19th Street Church of Christ. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Peggy Ray and a brother; James F. Smith. She is survived by four daughters; Sandra Counts and husband Wayne of San Angelo, Sharon Rose and husband, Jim of Mertzon, Sherri James and husband, Ricky of Round Rock, TX., Shirley Hasty and husband, Mark of Grape Creek; a son; Sam Thigpen and wife, Sheryl of Irving, TX., a brother; Tim Smith of Ft. Worth, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons; Jared Thigpen, Daniel Counts, Justin James, Karl Rose, Nathaniel Rose and Mark-Allen Hasty. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a hospice or charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. K. Rose, Dr. John Harvey, and the nurses and staff at Park Plaza Nursing home; Michelle Parker, Jerry Johnson PA., Dr. Daniels and the nurses and staff at Lighthouse Hospice.
