Virginia Rose McGee

Virgina "Jenny" R. McGee, 94, of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in Decker Cemetery in Blackwell with pastor Scott Bradford, senior pastor at First Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Jenny was born on May 12,1929 in Maryneal to Silas and Lorene Carter Alexander. She married Nelson B. McGee on September 5, 1950 in Sweetwater. He passed away on February 22, 2012. They lived in many places before moving to San Angelo in 1974. Jenny enjoyed listening to Nelson play bluegrass music in his band, Concho Grass. She was a homemaker and a member of the Goodfellow Air Force Base Chapel.

Survivors include her sister, Nancy Heard of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Randy Gill, Kevin Heard, Richard Gill, Kyle Heard, Ronald Gill, and Bradley Hall.
