Vyron Carroll Hudgins, 92, of San Angelo passed away Friday, March 09, 2007 in a local nursing home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Rev. James Paul Bailey of Lawrence, Kansas officiating. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, in the Valera cemetery. Vyron Carroll Hudgins was born May 19, 1914, in Valera, Texas. She was a twin daughter of Wortham and Mary Carroll who had eight children. Nita Carroll Cook of Lovington, New Mexico is the only remaining sibling and two sisters-in-law, Olga Carroll, of Livermore, California and Dorothy Hudgins of Ft. Worth, Texas. Vyron married William Homer Hudgins in 1933 and they had five children. The first child Wortham Perry Hudgins died at birth and Annie Marlene Hudgins was born in 1935 and died in 1941. The surviving children are Marcus Rex Hudgins and wife, Vae Rena of Cleburne, Texas; Mary Evelyn Monti and husband, Frank of San Angelo; Jerry Lynn Hudgins and wife, Suzette of Kingwood, Texas. She has 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Vyron was a dedicated wife, homemaker and an excellent seamstress.
