WILBUR ERNEST SAVAGE JR.

Wilbur E. Savage Jr., 74, ascended into his Father's arms surrounded by his family on August 2, 2006 at Meadowcreek Nursing Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. J.T. Tucker of VistaCare Hospice, officiating. Internment will be at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Wilbur was born in Sterling, Kansas on January 31, 1932 to Wilbur and Edna Savage. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 25 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked several years at Westlake Hardware. Wilbur enjoyed nature, gardening and a variety of music. Our precious father and grandfather is survived by two daughters Kathy McBurnie and Terry Savage two sons Rick Savage and David Savage, devoted sister Jody Wilcox, grandchildren Chris, Katie, Amber, Ashlie, Michelle, Tjay, Jayme, Clay, Sandy, Nikki, Dayton, Geoffrey, Shawn,Wilbur's former wife,Minnie Savage,and their families. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Vista Care Hospice for their loving care of our father, with a special thanks to Rachel. Also special thanks to Dr. Noack, Leila and staff, Dr. Rahman and staff. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to VistaCare Hospice or a charity of your choice. Dad, Pop, Papa, Papa G, thank you for your Legacy of love and humor. You will be greatly missed, yet eternally remembered.
