WINNIE FAYE REED

Winnie Faye Reed, 85, of San Angelo passed away Friday, March 31, 2006 in a local hospital. Winnie Faye Reed was born March 11, 1921 in San Angelo, Texas where she lived all of her life. She attended school in San Angelo and graduated from San Angelo High School in 1939. She received certification from San Angelo Business College and worked as a secretary for various firms in San Angelo. She was a civil service secretary at Goodfellow Air Force Base and retired after working there for 22 years. Winnie Faye Ray and Perry Wilson Reed were married in San Angelo on August 2, 1942. Mrs. Reed loved her family more than anything. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Angelo and the Porcelain Art Club. Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Creeta Ray. She is survived by her husband, Perry Wilson Reed; sons Joe and wife, Lynn; Jack and wife, Jan; Jerry and wife, Barbara and daughter Jayne Bledsoe and husband, Gary. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family requests any memorials in Mrs. Reed's memory go to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 1131 Fairfax, Virginia 22038 Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 3, 2006 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Laughlin, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
