Winnie Mae Thomas, 84, of San Angelo, passed away on April 20, 2018 in Dallas. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Hawkins, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Winnie was born in Waelder to Winnie Johnson and Rocellus Jones on May 28, 1933. She was adopted at age 3 by Birdie Gilmore & Sam Harris. She went to BlackShear High school in San Angelo. She worked at Ethicon for 10+ years and was a licensed Barber. Winnie was a founding member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church and worked in many of the church ministries to include Trustee, Finance, Sunday School, Chior, Hospitality, Missions and Women's Ministry to name a few. She was also a member of the Northwest Lions Club and the Busy Bee Sewing Club. Winnie Thomas is preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Johnson, her parents, Sam Harris and Birdie Gilmore, two sons, Darryl Baines and Samuel Hayden Sr, a daughter, Jacqueline Denise Deloney, two brothers, Melvin Hutton and Raymond Hutton Sr., and three sisters, Louise Epperson, Nella Ree Willis and Novella Briggs. Winnie Thomas is survived by three sons, David Deloney, Conrad Baines Jr. and Duane Baines Sr., three daughters, Laverne Baines Johnson, Deborah Beverly Bell and Domita Williams, and three brothers, Floyd Hutton, Clarence Hutton and John Hutton.
