WRETHA W. BLAKENEY

Wretha W. Blakeney, 75, of San Angelo passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at her residence. Family visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Fairmount Cemetery with Dr. George Cooper of Grace Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Wretha was born March 30, 1933 in Oklahoma to David Harrison and Iva Jean Mathis Fountain. She worked as a food services supervisor. She married Robert Blakeney in San Angelo on November 16, 1962 and they shared 39 wonderful years together until his death on March 2, 2002. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one grandson James Blakeney. She is survived by five stepsons; Robert Blakeney and wife, Linda of Port Lavaca, TX, Benjamin Blakeney and wife, Rita of San Angelo, Norman Blakeney and wife, Nadine of Tulsa, OK, Joel Blakeney and wife, Sandy of Sweetwater, TX, and William Blakeney and wife, Peggy of Rice, TX; one step daughter, Izona Kaehler and husband, Tom of Grape Creek, TX; one daughter, Elisha Amos and husband, Rob of San Angelo; two brothers, Jerry Fountain and wife, Elizabeth of San Angelo, and David Fountain and wife, Mary of Glen Rock, WY; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Robert Blakeney III, Ric Blakeney, Wesley Blakeney and Paul Parker. Special thanks to Concho Valley Home Health, Nurses Unlimited and Hospice of San Angelo.
