Ygnacio Castillo, Jr.

Ygnacio Castillo, Jr., 65, of San Angelo, joined his parents, Ygnacio and Genoveva Castillo in eternal and peaceful rest on May 28, 2018, at his residence. Rosary will be 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mereta-Eola Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ygnacio was born on May 5, 1953 in San Angelo. He made his home in the Los Angeles area for many years working for Penn Elcom Distribution. He embraced the lifestyle, particularly the recreational and cultural activities. Until recently, Jr. lived in Garden Grove, California where he enjoyed time shooting hoops, visiting golf driving ranges and fishing. Jr was a big fan of the NFL Raiders, San Antonio Spurs and loved the music of the 60's, especially Jimi Hendrix. He also enjoyed spending reflective spiritual time strolling through Cathedral Gardens. Ygnacio is survived by his son, Danny Castillo of San Angelo; two brother,s Robert Castillo and wife Bea of San Angelo and Jorge Castillo of El Paso; his favorite sister, Margaret "Grasshopper" Castillo of San Angelo; a grandson, Joseph; along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends in California. Ygnacio was preceded in death by his parents; Ygnacio, Sr. and Genoveva Castillo. Pallbearers will be Steve Escobedo, Paul Castillo, Adam Espinoza, Nathan Hohreiter, Mark Hogeda, Richard Castillo.
