Zack was born September 27, 2000 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Zack lived in Ozona until he was about 12 years old, when his mother moved to San Angelo. After moving to San Angelo, Zack attended Lee Jr. High and Central High School. During school Zack met Aimee Stark and Wesly Parish, and through the years they became very close. Aimee was his high school sweetheart; they were together for about six years and got their own place together. That is when he began his battle. Zack worked as a mechanic. His favorite saying was "Go Big of Go Home". Zack had a big Snap-On Toolbox. Sadly, Zack and Aimee went their separate ways. This was when he made a life-changing decision that landed him to get arrested. While awaiting his trial the relationship with Haylee Bowie began. After his trial he was then sentenced to seven years in the Sanchez Unit in El Paso and later moved to the Hughes Unit in Gatesville. Shortly after his entry into the Sanchez Unit, Haylee found out she was pregnant. After hearing the news all Zack wanted was to "Be a dad". While at the Sanchez Unit he did great, he achieved his GED and graduated from Culinary School. Zack wanted to transfer to a bigger unit that offered more schooling, he wanted to be a great provider for his family. He was going to make up all the sad days Haylee and Raylynn had, he said that Raylynn was the only thing keeping him going.

The nightmare started when he transferred units. He lived in fear for the last four months of his life. He didn't shower for two weeks. Letters that Zack wrote to his mom horrified and terrified her as a mother as she read them knowing and not being able to do anything to help him. One day Zack called saying he was scared for his life. Amanda had to call and get him removed and put in solitaire for 30 days. After being back in population, Zack was in the hospital for beating up a guard. (He wouldn't do such a thing.) Zack then gets transferred to the Hughs Unit where he feared for his life every day!! He wrote Amanda letters that just broke her heart. Zack always thought everyday was good.

While he was in the Sanchez Unit, Haylee, Raylynn, and family would visit every two to three months until his transfer. Zack got to be a dad for four hours Saturday and four hours Sunday! He loved it, he would feed Raylynn and just admire her, she had Daddy's heart forever and always.

There was once a boy who never had the chance to grow into a man when he was 16 He tattooed a broken heart on his face to show his pain and no one understood why... But to himself he did it because the world was a lie everything was for monetary gain, he could never be himself and he never understood why... At 21 he met the only person he would ever love and she gave him a daughter then he went to prison and lost the only love he'd ever prayed for he caught more time and got lost in the system the same broken heart that had begun to be fixed was broken again and lost 2 Addiction...

I -whose shoes-

I feel like my soul,

Is a little confused;

For it's been battered and beaten,

And a little abused.

You may not think,

That my story is true;

But what do you know?

It didn't happen to you.

You may believe,

My life's heaven sent;

But I can assure you,

That's not how it went.

Nothing came easy,

It's always a fight;

But still I keep trying,

To do what is right.

Unless you've walked,

A few miles in my shoes;

It may be difficult to understand,

My point of view.

So while you sit there,

With your judgement and blame;

Perhaps you should try living it,

And see if your results are the same.
