Donald Wade Spradley

Donald Wade Spradley was born in Slaton on January 14, 1964 and peacefully passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 in San Angelo. He was a loving father, a talented sound engineer, and a passionate musician.

Wade's musical journey spanned over four decades, where he showcased his drumming skills and left an indelible mark on the local music scene. His true passion, however, lay in nurturing young talents, creating an environment where kids could explore their musical gifts. His dedication and guidance helped shape the next generation of musicians.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Wade was a fourth-generation upholsterer. He honed his craft under his father's tutelage and shared his expertise with his own children and those eager to learn. His unparalleled eye for detail and design ensured that every piece he worked on became a work of art.

Known affectionately as Uncle Wade, he was a colorful character, always ready with a good joke and a mischievous grin. His love for history and mystery enriched his life and sparked curiosity in others.

Wade is survived by his children, Lacey Kay Levi and Jacob Wesley Spradley, his father Donald Spradley, his two sisters, Donita Klement and Tina McClain, his grandchildren, Logan and Chloe Langford, as well as his nieces, nephews, and countless individuals whom he mentored and cared for like family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Faye Lightsey.

A celebration of Wade's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Rendezvous, 1421 W Beauregard, San Angelo, TX 76901. Join us for a joyous gathering filled with music, delicious food, and laughter, as we honor his memory and the impact he had on all of our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to their GoFundMe campaign dedicated to covering Wade's final expenses.
