Estefana R. Villarreal, 60, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, in San Angelo surrounded by loved ones.
The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 AM Monday, January 15, 2024, with Freddy Perez, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Ms. Villarreal was born January 18, 1963, in Fort Stockton to Jose Villarreal Sr. and Romanita Hernandez. Estefana or as many would call her "Sophie" has been a lifelong resident of San Angelo. She worked for Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson Company, as a finish goods release tech and recently celebrated 32 years with the company. She attended church at St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Marys Catholic Church. Sophie loved working. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and an all-around sports enthusiast. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and grand pup. Sophie supported her family and friends whenever she could. Her motto was to always enjoy life because tomorrow is never promised. She did just that, she lived a beautiful life.
Survivors include her son, Conrad Duran and wife Lindsey of San Angelo; a daughter, Mercedes Torres and significant other Felipe Cortez of San Angelo; three sisters, Connie Villarreal of San Angelo, Mary Helen Fernandez and husband Ernest of Amarillo, and Romanita Macias and husband Greg of San Angelo; her mother, Romanita Hernandez and husband Phillip of San Angelo; two grandchildren, Ivy Fields and Navi Cortez both of San Angelo; her grand pup, Joey. She had a special connection with her nieces and nephews as well as her great nieces and nephews.
Sophie was preceded in death by her father Jose Villarreal Sr.; brother, Jose Villarreal Jr.; and sister, Micaela Villarreal.
Her children would like to extend gratiude to her Ethicon, 4South, and Jiujitsu families as well as Tiffany with palliative care, Angela from ICU, and the HOSA team for all the love, support, and guidance they displayed during this difficult journey.
